Shadow Land
Somewhere between light and dark,
A place in each of us;
Creature’s dwell, we keep unseen,
Struggling to come out;
Dark, brooding, full of malice’s,
Cold, calculating, waiting,
Sitting on the fringes of our mind;
A place of terror, a place of hate;
We fight to maintain control,
We keep the creature at bay;
Locked in the Shadow Land of our mind.
